South Coast five-piece Sampson return with their most polished release yet “Bottom of the Hill”

Comb your moustache, rub a bit of talcum powder in your hair and heck why not even do a couple of sleazy lunges too ‘cause this is the “Strutting around in a Silk Bath Robe” song of the year.

Sampson’s latest release is a perfect example of a band who have fine-tuned their sound and are nailing all of the smaller details too.

Combining comforting melodies with some really slick vocal rhythm and carefully selected guitar and synth tones that hang the final artwork on the wall to make the room POP.

Written about vocalist Daniel Hockey’s first date with his now wife, “Bottom of the Hill” is a slick and self aware love song that’ll turn you gooey with a tenderness that could get Scrooge McDuck in a frenzy of passion.

You can listen to “Bottom of the Hill” now on the streaming platform that takes your fancy, but here’s a convenient YouTube link.
